The ALTIQ™ Next-Gen Ranger / Raptor / Everest / Superduty OEM+ ControlGrid 6 is available in both 10" and 12" sizes—while the panels look slightly different, the installation process is identical for both. The panel installs using three points of contact in a specific order. Work through them in sequence and it'll clip in cleanly first time.

Step 1: Hook
Locate the hook highlighted in orange on the top-right of the panel. Insert it into the corresponding slot in the dash first—this anchors the panel and sets the position for everything that follows.

Step 2: Tabs
With the hook seated, swing the panel upward so the tabs highlighted in blue hook into their slots. These must be properly seated to align the panel correctly before moving to the next step.

Step 3: Clips
Locate the clips highlighted in green and align them with the dash vents. With two hands on either side, push up and clip the panel into place. Some resistance is normal—if it feels excessive, stop and check that the tabs from Step 2 are properly seated before continuing.

Once fully clipped in, the panel should sit flush with the dash. If it does, you're ready to wire up your switches.

Wiring: Running Cables Through to the Engine Bay
Preparation & Overview
Remove the glovebox by opening it, releasing the clips at the sides, which will allow you to open it further. From there, pull the glovebox forward to release the bottom hinge clips.
This is the path that the wires from your switches will take through the car.
We will go from behind the ControlGrid 6, through to behind the glovebox, then through the firewall grommet and into the engine bay.

Step 1: Drill the Access Hole
Drill an 8–12mm hole in the dash console above the USB port. Insert the drill bit no more than 10–20mm deep as there are components behind the dash you don't want to contact.

Step 2: Fish Wires Through to the Glovebox
Run a thin, flexible cable fishing tool through the hole so that it exits into the glovebox cavity. Attach your wires to the tool and pull them through the hole into the glovebox cavity.

Step 3: Firewall Grommet
Move to the engine bay and locate the large cable grommet on the firewall behind the battery. You'll find a protruding nipple or access port on the grommet. Cut this off to open the passage.

Step 4: Pull Wires Through to the Engine Bay
Push the cable fishing tool through the grommet from the engine bay. Attach your wires to the end of the fishing tool and pull them back through into the engine bay, then finalise your wiring connections in the bay.

Once done, and the wires are neatly secured behind the glovebox, re-install the glovebox and you're done.
